THIRTY participants from different government offices joined the Public Safety Protectors Seminar held at the Davao City Hall Wednesday, October 12.
Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSCC) head retired Major General Benito de Leon said the seminar is designed for the security guards detailed in offices of the City Government.
Seminar instructor Jed Acero said the command center aims to provide the participants with the basic knowledge and appropriate skills in providing public service.
"A public service that ensures total safety to persons and properties, and in maintaining order, in the offices and areas where they are assigned," Acero said.
The seminar aims to know and understand their mission as a public safety provider, profile of the customers they serve and how to meet their needs and expectations.
Participants are also expected to have undergone a hands-on practice of skills they need to apply in a course of performing their job during normal times and emergency situations.
Acero said participants are expected to become familiar with the roles, functions and capabilities of the PSSCC and Central 911 as their major external source of support.
