DCPO chief welcomes Bato's offer as EA

DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) director Senior Superintendent Michael John Dubria welcomed the decision of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald dela Rosa for him to be his senior executive assistant at Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Dubria told SunStar Davao that he would gladly accept the position should this be offered to him.

Dubria added that he is just waiting for the official directive coming from the chief PNP.

"As long as there is an official order I would gladly accept it. It is a promotion that I cannot decline. Dakong dungog sa ako na (It's a great honor for me), and also it is an honor working with PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa," Dubria said.

Dela Rosa, in a separate interview, said he wants Dubria to be his senior executive assistant at the national headquarters.

Dela Rosa he is comfortable working with the current DCPO director.

"He (Dubria) knows my standards and I also know what his capabilities are," Dela Rosa said, adding that they will look for a police official who is resilient, competent and capable of leading the DCPO soon.

Dela Rosa said his current executive assistant Senior Supt. Alden Delvo, who is also a Davao-based police official, will be assigned to the police regional command in Calabarzon.

The senior executive assistant is tasked to assist the PNP chief in all his activities, appointments and will also facilitate all the documents coming in and out from the PNP chief's office.

Police Regional Office-Davao deputy regional director for administration Chief Superintendent Marcelo Morales earlier said there was actually a plan to transfer Dubria to Camp Crame.

Morales said they will direct Dubria to report to the PNP headquarters as soon as the order will be released from Camp Crame.

Morales added they are already preparing the list of officials who are qualified to assume Dubria's post.
