CENTRAL Visayas was alarmed when government forces clashed with Abu Sayyaf members in Inabanga, Bohol, last April 11.
Members of the Mindanao-based terror group were in Bohol to allegedly kidnap foreign tourists visiting the province. The group's plan was botched, though, when they were spotted and reported to authorities by a resident in the area.
What happened in the following days was a series of manhunts, clashes, and arrests that resulted in the neutralization of every bandit, including their cohorts, who set foot in Bohol. (SunStar Philippines)
