IPM-CDC lone bidder for P52.4-M trash deal

METRO Manila-based IPM-Construction and Development Corp. (IPM-CDC) was the lone bidder for the P52.4-million maintenance and operation of the sanitary landfill of Bacolod City.

Lawyer Maphilindo Polvora, chairman of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), said the IPM-CDC secured the bid documents for P50,000 and dropped it around 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 18.

Polvora said the IPM-CDC offered a bid of P52,420,281.06.

The approved budget for the contract is P52.4 million for the seven-month (June to December) maintenance and operation of the sanitary landfill in Barangay Felisa.

The contract for the maintenance and operation of the landfill amounts to P7.4 million per month.

The IPM-CDC is the city’s current contractor for garbage hauling and collection services.

Polvora said the BAC will proceed with the post-qualification today in Manila to scrutinize the documents of the bidder.

He said they will also check the current projects of the bidder in Metro Manila to ensure that the IPM-CDC is a responsive and calculated bidder.
