Y-Speak: Inner life

LIFE is created with physical and inner life, what do you think is more important of the two? The outside or the inside?

Many say what is inside will reflect on the outside. Our body is just only the physical garment of our inner life and our inner life is where our spirit, soul and conscience and the true you [us] live inside, and this important aspect is the most taken for granted.

Human nature lives only on the superficial and on the physical vision and appearance. As I have observed people nowadays chase more of material things that satisfy their physical bodies, people are busy with the temporary rather than eternity. In our generation today does spiritual life really matter?

Going to Church and celebrating Holy Week is the option that will somehow alleviate and lessen the guilt feeling of our “forsaken inner life”, but what is really the true intention behind of it. I believe taking care of our inner life is a higher and a different level of understanding and wisdom that most of the people missed and neglected. Taking care of our inner life is something that you have found your purpose and a meaningful life.

A purpose in life is not limited to the career path you want to take or your ambition and personal dreams. Focusing only on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose. Purpose in life is not made up, it's does not emerge as a guess.

Rick Warren said in his book "If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by his purpose and for his purpose."

How is your inner life today? Does it really matter? How do you take care of it? Have you really found what matters in life? (Jean Quilon)
