To be held at Limketkai Atrium and SM Uptown, Peso, together with the City Government and the Department of Labor Employment, is expecting a large number of applicants as the first batch of K to 12 students recently graduated.

"We have two venues specifically because we are looking for a lot of applicants considering na (that) this year is the first batch of the K to 12 graduates. So it’s possible that those who graduated in their senior high, some of them hindi tutuloy in (will not continue with their) education and some of them are looking for work already," Peso Manager Kathleen Kate Sorilla said.

According to Sorilla, around 100 industries, both local and overseas, will be joining the jobs fair, in which there are 60 to 70 local job vacancies and 100 to 150 overseas job vacancies.

Local industries comprise of retails, sales, construction firms, department stores, hotel and restaurants, and among others.

Overseas industries, meanwhile, are more on job orders for nurses and service crews.

Sorilla said nurses are in demand abroad, especially in New Zealand, in the national hospitals in Saudi Arabia, and others.

"As of now, we'll be accepting pre-registration. Yung (The) pre-registration, it’s our way of registering our applicants ahead of time para on the day of the jobs fair, diretso na sila pasok sa venue (they can immediately enter the venue), no more lining, no more signing of documents, everything will be smooth, hapsay na ang plastar sa jobs fair (the jobs fair will be in order)," Sorilla said.

In pre-registration, which started on Monday, April 16, until April 30, the applicants will only need to bring a set of resume and all their credentials to the office of Peso located in the City Hall, Sorilla said.

The applicants, will then, be given a tab which they will present during the jobs fair.
