THE Mindanao Peace Games (MPG) will hold eight coaches' forum in Mindanao that will start at the Iligan Medical Center College on Saturday, August 12.
Celina Simone Jaldon, representing Ateneo de Davao University (Addu), bared this on behalf of MPG main convener Noli Ayo on Friday, August 11, during the Davao Sportwriters Association Forum at NCCC Mall B3 Family Room.
Jaldon said the two-day affair will feature series of talks and workshop with the Philippine Association for Sports and Exercise Sciences under the supervision of its president Jeffrey Pagaduan.
Lawyer Rebo Saguisag, Gang Badoy and Mary Ann Reyes, secretary general of Philippine Finswimming Federation, are the resource speakers.
MPG has been holding coaches’ forum since it was founded in 2015.
"We have this forum because we always emphasize the importance of being able to share stories. MPG is not just about the games but also to develop values and character formation of the athletes and coaches," Jaldon said.
Participants are athletes and coaches of MPG-member schools including Iligan Medical Center College, Father Saturnino Urios University, St. Joseph Institute of Technology, Holy Trinity College, St. Vincent College of Dipolog, Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, La Salle University of Ozamiz, Mindanao State University of Marawi, Holy Cross of Davao College, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Xavier University and Addu.
From Iligan City, MPG Coaches Forum's next stop will be Butuan City on August 25 and 26, General Santos City on September 1 and 2, Dipolog City on September 8 and 9, Maguindanao on September 15 and 16, Zamboanga City on September 22 and 23, Cagayan de Oro City on October 6 and 7 and in Davao City on October 13 and 14.
