ANOTHER Japanese firm, Miniso, expands operations in Davao City giving Dabawenyos access to quality products at an affordable price.
Miniso Philippine area manager, Khae E. Suwait told reporters on Friday, August 11, during the grand opening of its second branch in Mindanao at the SM City Davao that the store is the 28th branch of the company.
“We just entered the Philippine market last year and we expanding fast, we have now 28 stores nationwide,” Suwait said.
The company, she said, plans to launch 51 stores in the country by the end of the year.
Miniso’s first branch in Mindanao is in SM Downtown Premiere, Cagayan De Oro City.
“We are set to open another branch in Mindanao, this time in General Santos City sometime in September,” she said.
“The reason why we are expanding so fast is we want to cater to the market who wants quality and affordable products, it is our commitment to bring our brand closer to them,” Sumait said.
Miniso is a Japanese designer brand known for providing products on Health and beauty, digital, accessories and school supplies.

She added that Minisio is known for offering simply budget-friendly products but with undeniable Japanese durability.
At present, the company is operating in 62 countries with more than 2,000 stores in three years.
It has branched out as far as Australia, Mongolia, UAE, Nepal, Lao, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, China, and the Philippines.
Its first branch in the country opened in Robinsons Place Manila last June 2016.
