Davao netters capture bronze

TAGBILARAN City, Bohol -- Davao Region copped a bronze medal in women's tennis while the men's and women's basketball teams and men's baseball team stayed unbeaten in the ongoing National Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) 2018 here on Tuesday, April 24.

Davao netters, composed of Elle Jhulie Anne Marie, Frylyn Caguisa, Rhue Lian Dizon and Doriz Jane Bagohin, placed third after bowing to Central Visayas in the knockout format netfest at the Holy Name University. The team defeated Calabarzon Region earlier.

The Roderick Conda-coached men's dribblers, for their part, thrashed Caraga Region, 80-54, at the Holy Name University. They must win two more games to secure a slot in the semifinals.

The cagebelles, meanwhile, posted back-to-back wins Monday afternoon.

The Chrysanthemum-mentored Davao cagebelles crushed Zamboanga Peninsula, 94-60, before crushing Western Visayas, 96-59, at the Dawis Gym.

Meanwhile, back-to-back National Prisaa baseball champion Davao Region dominated Soccsksargen, 14-7, to improve to a 2-0, win-loss card.
