Family weekend bonding down south

Family weekend bonding down south

ANOTHER proof that long weekends are the best was our recent family getaway back in my hometown – Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Since it was the Holy Week break and all of the family members were present we all went on a day trip to some popular destinations nearby.

First Stop: Mariano’s Blooming Agri-Tourism Park

Located in Tupi, this is one of the Instagram famous destinations that attract a lot of tourists because of their beautiful sunflower field. We went there super early (they open at 6 a.m.) to avoid the crowd and to, of course, capture the best photos that we can!

They also have other flower fields in the area, vegetables and succulent which are for sale. The Agri-Tourism Park also has a café and a kiddie playground for your little ones.

Tip: checkout their Facebook Page before visiting to guide you of the blooming dates of the sunflowers.

Mariano’s Blooming Agri-Tourism Park is located at Purok 3A in Tupi which is just 20 minutes from my hometown. Entrance fee for children is at P30 and P50 for adults.

Second Stop: Paraiso Verde Resort and Water Park

To beat the summer heat, we then went to Paraiso Verde in Koronadal and we were so lucky again that the place was not crowded again during that day.

The resort has a lot of attractions like the Wiggles Kiddie pool, wave pool, a lap pool and a river rapids kind of pool (which we didn’t have the chance to try because it was under maintenance). We still had fun though especially at the wave pool because we got to test out our new swan floatie.

Entrance fee is at P150 and corkage fee for bringing outside food is P300. They also have room accommodations and a restaurant in the resort.

Paraiso Verde is located at Barangay Zone I, General Santos Drive in Koronadal Proper.

Last Stop: Apareja Halo-halo

I could not stress this enough but Apreja halo-halo is definitely my fave!! And of course, I obliged the fam squad to take a stop there to cap off our trip.

The number one thing that I love about their buko halo-halo is that it is jam packed with all the yummy halo-halo ingredients that you will ever wish for (I am just so passionate about this guys lol). This also proves with the ton of people going in and out their place which is just along the side of the road.

It’s that good and their service is fast as well!

Their buko halo-halo costs P90 per serving and is located at in Barangay Saravia, which is just along the National Highway when you’re going back from Koronadal to Polomolok. The place is packed whether it’s rainy or sunny so you can easily spot it.

So glad for this quick getaway! Love you fam!
