THE signages for the all-gender restroom were installed starting Tuesday, April 24, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod (city council) building.
Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag, in an interview, said the comfort room is not new.
It used to be reserved for persons with disability (PWD) and was seldom used. It will now cater also to all genders aside the PWDs.
"It can be used by anybody. It is not just for LGBT but for all especially if the queue for the female CR is long. We instructed the janitor to open the all-gender CR. It will be open, it can be used anytime," he said.
Al-ag was hopeful that with the all-gender restroom, LGBTs would be more at ease at the legislative building. (KVC)
