F2 Logistics come ready for action

THE F2 Logistics Cargo Movers will come loaded as they face the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) All-Star volleyball team on a two-day friendly match at the University of San Carlos (USC) Main Gym on Friday and Saturday.

The F2 Cargo Movers is headed by the team skipper Cha Cruz, together with national team frontrunners Aby Maraño, Kim Fajardo, Kianna Dy, and Dawn Macandili.

The team backed by F2 Logistics Philippines Inc. a freight forwarding and logistics company will be mentored by De La Salle University (DLSU) head coach and 10-time University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) women’s volleyball champion Ramil De Jesus.

Strengthening the F2 Cargo Movers are UAAP 75 MVP Ara Galang, UAAP 79 MVP Majoy Baron, UAAP 79 Finals MVP Desiree Cheng, Tin Tiamson, Aduke Ogunsanya, CJ Saga, Cherry Nunag, Fritz Gallenero and Shawna Lei Santos.

The Cesafi All-Stars, on the other hand, will comprise 16 formidable players from USC, Southwestern University (SWU-Phinma), University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R), University of Cebu (UC) and University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F).

The Cesafi All-Star team will have the services of USC’s Debbie Gamboa, Marie Malagar, and Criz Jezza Estose; SWU-Phinma’s Therese Ramas, Dij Rodriguez, Janelle Cabahug, and Dyan Darantinao; UC’s Christer Claro and Ellen Joy Gumandoy.

Also in the roster are USJ-R smashers Jackie Singson, Danielle Alfeche, Paula Maninang, Linlyn Torado and Sheen Durango, and USP-F’s Jan Gayo and Cristylyn Seludo.

The F2 Cargo Movers, the 2016 Philippine Super Liga (PSL) All-Filipino champion, is owned by Efren E. Uy whose roots can be traced to Cebu.

Uy earlier said that he would bring the team to Cebu to help promote the development of the sport in the countryside. (RSC)
