MY FRIENDS and I were happy to have stumbled upon the newly opened Infinitea teahouse Uptown. It’s conveniently located near our homes, which makes going out for quick spur-of-the-moment “mommy-dates” rather easy to spring and accomplish.

Being a mom can get quite lonely, even if we are technically never alone with the kids who are always vying for our attention. To preserve that bit of our personality and sanity, it is ever so important to make time for dates with friends because they enrich our spirit. Most times, they even make us feel like the “me-before-kids”!

With hectic schedules that revolve around work, chores, kids, and the hubby; getting together with mommy friends at times even seem like a rare luxury. It often takes a backseat to these other pressing priorities. However, let us not forget it is actually an emotional necessity to forge bonds with mommy friends. That’s why in spite of the frenetic busy-ness, we must not make excuses and instead create the time.

These gal pals are there to laugh with, be “emo” with, and go crazy with when our own brood is driving us batty. They are quick to sympathize and give sound advice over a glass of wine, a mug of java, or a cup of tea sans the eyebrow of judgment. Thus, it is not surprising that several researches have also shown that friends increase a human being’s lifespan.

Keep in mind that we won’t necessarily click with every mom we meet, but the key to forming bonds is just putting our hearts out there. For every person that says no, many will say YES! And when we find those people who accept us, in spite of our differences, it is vital to nurture our relationships with them! Watch a movie, grab some chow, or have a tea party.

This is precisely why my mommy friends and I were (and still are) all quite happy with this newly opened Infinitea teahouse outside of a busy mall. We now have a new stomping ground! The Infinitea shop offers milk tea, fruit tea, soda pops, baked goods, and frappes that are so much cheaper than their other competitors.

My personal favorite is the green tea frappe in the largest cup with 25% sweetness. The price is only less than a hundred pesos, and I can even opt to add my favorite pearls or assorted fruit jellies when I am in the mood. That’s a far cry from what I fork out in Starbucks.

On top of the affordability, what makes Infinitea drinks stand out is that they use 100% freshly brewed loose-leaf teas of high quality. The brew is made exciting by different flavors and mixes. Tea has long been a part of the Asian culture and tradition, so it is not surprising why Pinoys flock to milk tea shops.

Studies also indicate that green tea extract has anti-oxidant properties, which makes it beneficial for the body. It aids in digestion of food because it promotes the release of enzymes. One of its other plus points is it helps to increase the body’s ability to burn fat. And what mommy doesn’t want that?! Haha.

Infinitea is surely a welcome addition to my mommy-group’s list of favorite hangouts in our quaint little town. This means we don’t have to brave the traffic going into the city anymore to enjoy this affordable and delicious milk tea. Their other branch is at SM Downtown Premier, which is quite far from where we live, so it’s burning time and gas.

The brand Infinitea has been around since 2010, and they have grown steadily through their model of franchising. This longevity proves that milk tea is indeed not a mere fad. Not surprising at all because milk tea is milder than coffee and the sweetness level can be tailor-fit to a person’s taste buds!

Milk tea shops are currently among the most popular hang-out places in the key-cities around the country, along with cafes. People want to socialize in a relaxing environment, with yummy drinks, good food, and the company of great friends, which makes everything taste even better. Give this newly opened Infinitea teahouse a try along Unit 5 Cahulogan Square, Masterson Avenue, Upper Balulang, CDO.
