THE Servants of All Global Incorporation (Soagi) conducted a community outreach activity last Sunday, September 17, at Barangay Pagatpat Covered Court, Cagayan de Oro City.

With the theme “Serbisyo sa Barangay,” the organization facilitated the delivery of various services such as free medical checkups, free minor surgical procedures, free medicines, dental services, pre-natal, pedia checkups, distribution of wheelchairs, and bloodletting.

The organization also did consultations on the processing and issuance of birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, passport application and processing, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance and application, legal consultation.

The community service was made possible with the help of the eight national agencies involved namely Department of Health, NBI, Department of Justice, Public Attorneys Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, Professional Regulation Commission, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Statistics Office; and also Armed Forces of the Philippines and Navy.

Some 2,000 beneficiaries of the one-day activity included residents of different uptown barangays which includes Barangay Pagatpat, Barangay San Simon, Barangay Canito-an and Barangay Baingkingon.

The event was graced by Soagi founder and chairman Michael Salvador and was also joined by 4th Infantry Division commanding general MGEN. Ronald Villanueva, Task Force Oro Commander Colonel Roy Orquia, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office Police Senior Superintendent Robert Roy Bahian, Provincial Director of Misamis Oriental PSSUPT Rolando Destura, and Ororama/Mega Farm Owner See Hong.

Salvador said the event is a big help for people who cannot afford to avail of medical services or those who do not have legal documents such as birth certificates.

Salvador said they chose Barangay Pagatpat because of the village’s proximity to the relocation sites for Typhoon Sendong victims.

Salvador said they also distributed groceries and goods to victims of the fighting in Marawi City with the help of Armed Forces of the Philippines.
