CORDILLERA’S economy grew the highest at 12.1 percent in 2017. Let’s talk about the economy next week because there is a more important matter I need to talk about.
My friends at the Philippine Statistics Authority Cordillera Administrative Region (PSA-CAR) deserve a warm round of applause for being recognized as the PSA Regional Office for being the best in information dissemination nationwide.

Brent International School Baguio (BISB), in the spirit of service and the practice of justice and charity, and with the sense of social awareness and responsibility, conducts various outreach programs that aim to contribute in the upliftment of the dignity of the marginalized sectors of our society. The main flagship community service activity is the Medical-Dental-Optical Mission conducted annually.
For the past 17 years, it has been a success with the contribution and collaboration of the various school’s stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees, Administration, Faculty and Staff, students and their student organizations, and the Parents-Teachers Association.
Medicines will be provided as prescribed by volunteer doctors, while tooth extraction, and cleaning are performed by volunteer Dentists.
Patients will also be given eyeglasses, prescribed by our partner-optometrists. These are all for free. Thousands of indigent patients have already benefited from this activity over the years, and this year, they are hoping to help many more.
The Medical-Dental-Optical Mission will be held on 28 April 2018 at the Brent School Compound, Brent Road, Baguio City. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m.
