AFTER almost two decades, Aiko Melendez and Ara Mina have finally cleared the air between them.
In a Facebook post by comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz, he shared that the two actresses bumped into each other at a private event and were able to talk and patch things up.
"Past is past. The important is now. Nice to see them na tsikahan nang tsikahan. All is well that ends well. Sa burol pa talaga nangyari ha?" he wrote.
Mina also shared a photo with Melendez, whom she had a falling out 16 years ago. "It was nice seeing you," she wrote.
Melendez, in a Facebook post, said it was nice to finally take photos and reconnect with Mina without any awkward feeling.
"So good to finally talk and chit-chat with you Hazel. It's been ages. We both can freely take selfies together without the awkward feeling. Let's hang out soon! Katawa dami naming exchange of texts."
To recall, the two were good friends until 2001 when Mina was romantically involved with actor Jomarie Yllana, who was married to Melendez at that time.
According to rumors, Mina was the reason for the failure of Melendez and Yllana's marriage, which was annulled in 2003.
Melendez then dated politician Patrick Meneses back in 2008 but the relationship did not work out. Three years later, Mina dated Meneses.
Mina and Meneses are now separated but parents to a baby girl while Melendez is single and has two kids. She also has a good relationship with ex-husband Yllana. (SunStar Philippines)
