ERIC Deen ruled the Cebu Country Club (CCC) 2017 Monthly Medal Tournament for September, winning the Class A division after scoring net 66 at the club’s layout in Banilad, Cebu City.
Deen, a 4-handicapper, showed his prowess and built a solid game with a gross score of 2-under-par 70. He has previously won the club championship.
The 7-handicapper Ferdie Chua and 3-handicapper Marko Sarmiento both finished with net 68. Chua took second place after the countback, while Sarmiento settled for third.
Chiharu Tsuruoka reigned in Class B after scoring 67, beating Jack Huang and Jonji Chiongbian by a point. Huang took second place and Chiongbian settled for third place after a countback.
Allan Chiongbian snagged the Class C title with a score of 68. Steve Maniquis put up 71 for second place and Bernard Loh had 77 for third place.
David Wong flashed a score of 65 to win Class D by 11 points. Dennis Wong took second place after winning on a countback against Fruto Teodorico, who settled for third place.
Ben Dapat beat Kim Kwang Seok in a countback to snatch the Seniors’ division crown. Both players finished with net 68. The latter took second place.
Robin Craze scored 71 and beat Vito La Ferlita to take third place in the 55-above seniors’ class.
In the ladies division, PAL Interclub player Crystal Faith Neri scored 69 to win the title over Maricel Maniquis who had 72. Menchit Martinez placed third with 74.
Meanwhile, Olin Seno finished with 73 and topped the Guest division, Tedd Almario had 78 for second place and Carlos Claur was third with 82.
The CCC’s Monthly Medal Tournament was joined by 64 male members, six ladies and six visitors. (RSC)
