Glow, flowers for the season

SOFT shine, bright color. NARS’ latest releases call to mind the sparkling sand and tropical flowers of the season.

Strange Flowers Collection

NARS partnered with multi-awarded fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu for a summer collection in sleek white packaging, featuring three original floral prints that Moralioglu designed specifically for this collection. Simply called Erdem, the collection mixes the delicate with the bold, and pairs the dainty with the dramatic. There are six new shades of lipstick, ranging from barely-there sheer light pink and sheer muted lavender, to intense cherry red and deep plum. Also for the lips is a palette including a priming balm and four lip powders of shimmering rose gold, matte rose, matte fuchsia and matte scarlet. Two shades of blush have the cheeky (get it?) names of Loves Me and Loves Me Not; the first, a strawberry pink with golden shimmer, and the second, a soft lavender pink. Two six-pan eye palettes feature matte and shimmer eyeshadows. Essential neutrals of shimmering ivy, soft brown, and satin black are combined with mulberry, forest green, and midnight blue. The velvety shades can be applied lightly for a sheer wash, or layered on for more opaque color.

Highlighting Powders

With shade names like Ibiza, St. Barth’s and Maldives, the new Highlighting Powders are as dreamy as the destinations they are inspired by. There’s “no glitter, just glow,” with Seamless Glow Technology that combines powders and pearls for incredibly smooth application and believable luminosity.

The six shades in the range have been designed to accentuate all skin tones, cool or warm, from pale pink to rich bronze. Albatross is an opalescent gold inspired by the bird, which can be found in places like New Zealand and the Galapagos Islands. A shimmery pale pink is inspired by the sunlit grottos of Capri. Bestselling shade Fort de France is a pale gold similar to the pale gold of French champagne. The deeper gold that is Ibiza mimics the look of sunkissed skin glistening in the party city’s heat. The rose bronze color of Maldives is inspired by the destination’s pink skies at dusk, and St. Barth’s rich bronze is the kind of deep glow that yachting around the island would give you.
