FLOWER gardens are blooming especially in the highlands of Cebu. There, you'll find beautiful flower gardens that are hard to miss and must-visit places when you're planning to explore the area. If you're one who enjoys the sight of flowers, then this one's for you.

Terrazas de Flores

The country's first and only botanical garden, Terrazas de Flores is a flower terrace where more than 120 species of plants and flowers sit atop a mountain slope, beautifully arranged with pathways in each for visitors to comfortably walk around the terrace. Cabanas are also seen around the botanical garden, a perfect space where you can relax, unwind and just relish nature's beauty while listening to music. Terrazas has a cafe resting at the top where good food and drinks are served with a magical view of the terrace.

Buwakan ni Alejandra

Another hot spot in the uplands of Cebu City is a beautiful flower garden named Buwakan ni Alejandra. This 700-square-meter garden houses more than 200 species of local blooms forming a vibrant garden that's picturesque in every angle. Buwakan ni Alejandra highlights more of the local flowers than the imported ones for visitors to have a good view of these equally pretty flowers. With pathways around the garden, visitors can stroll the entire property and appreciate the garden's vibrant beauty.

Sirao Flower Garden

The vibrant and colorful celosia field is enough to make this garden a hit among local and foreign tourists alike. Images of Sirao Flower Garden first spread in social media like wild fire, and it didn't take long for people to flock to the garden to have their photos taken with the fiery-looking flowers. Likened to the tulip fields found in the Netherlands, Sirao is now dubbed as a "Mini Amsterdam". This mountainous region in Barangay Sirao is where you'll find an expanse of flowers that make it a must-see visit this month of blooms and blossoms.
