THE “A” Gym and Phil Aust Boxing Club were the big winners of last Friday night’s “Bakbakan sa Isla Verde” amateur boxing show in Buais, Inayawan, getting four wins each.
The “A” Gym’s David Tugot, Mark Montefolka and Leonel Apostol won in the Kids Division, while Jemuel Azucenas won his match in the Juniors Division.
Phil Aust’s Jimpaul Dignos and Gadfrey Lubiano won in the Juniors Division, Alex del Rio in the School Boys Division and JM Andrejas in the Kids Division.
In other results, Wakee’s Patrick dela Cruz walked away with a split decision win over Cebu City Sports Center’s (CCSC) Ghenly Trocio, while Big Yellow’s Yerodge Gura beat CCSC’s Johnro Arivado by split decision in the School Boys Division.
Eduardo Jimenez defeated The “A” Gym’s Clark Sanchez by unanimous decision. (EKA)
