AMID the presence and introduction of more loveteams, the team-up of Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza has remained the most talked about on the Twitterverse.
While a number of younger stars have been featured lately in the newest programs of the country’s two biggest networks, “Eat Bulaga’s” hosts have proven that their stars are still shining so bright until these days.
In its announcement, Twitter Philippines revealed that Alden and Maine are the top celebrities for April 2018.
“And what would we be without out favorite (heart emoji) teams? Congratulations to #AlDub @mainedcm @aldenrichards02 for topping the Twitter chart in January-April! With millions of followers, they continue to spark hundreds of conversations and generate millions of Tweets worldwide,” TwitterPH posted.
Amid the showbiz break the actress-host took at the latter part of 2017 after sharing a lengthy post asking her fans to grant her “freedom,” some people might have thought that her on-cam tandem with Alden was affected. However, this latest news from Twitter has somehow negated this.
To recall, the Aldub nation was born when the two were paired last July 16, 2015 for the “Problem Solving” episode of the noontime show’s “Kalyeserye” segment.
The so-called “phenomenal love team” has been loved by so many fans because of how they interact, especially that they are opposite at some point in terms of personality.
Apart from being touted as the top Twitter PH loveteam for the first four months of this year, Maine was also named as the top female celebrity during the same period.
In the said category, Maine was the only Kapuso actress who made it to top 5. The others (in chronological order) are the following: Maris Racal, Loisa Andalio, Maymay Entrata, and Kathryn Bernardo.
The entertainment site Pep reported as well that Alden ranked third in the top male celebrities category. “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda snatched the top spot.
It is worth noting that he is the lone Kapuso actor who made it to the list, which includes (in chronological order) Donny Pangilinan, James Reid, and Ronnie Alonte.
