Why it is ideal to live in a condo in Davao City

WE ARE not just spectators of the changing landscape of the city, we are also living in it. And just as it is evolving, we also have to adapt to it and upgrade our lifestyle.

The first thing to think about is where to invest for a house. While it is raining choices for real-estate here, buying a condominium unit will serve you just right.

Commonly, those who seek for space rentals are middle-class earners and are burdened by the monthly fees. Financial coaches would say if you can afford paying huge for a house for rent, might as well just pay for a space that will be yours in the future.

For Lora Valdez, a real-estate broker, there is countless advantages observed since she shifted to condo living and among them is having a maintenance staff.

"I do not have to worry on sweeping a lot and I also get to have more time to spend doing other things like work-related stuff or other hobbies I usually put behind because I need to clean," she said.

It is also smart to look for one that is conveniently located near your workplace or everything you commonly go to.

Valdez said, "Living in Seawind has been extremely productive for me, it is only a ten-minute ride to my office and is also accessible to a shopping mall and airport".

Businesswoman Karla Singson also share the same perspective. Owning a unit in Abreeza Place has become suitable for her lifestyle.

"I travel a lot, so for my parcels and documents, I like having a concierge. I also outsource a couple of things like my laundry, cleaning, sometimes meals," she said.

The concierge comes in handy when you are busy person and has no one to receive expected packages at home.

Singson said, "The location also contributes to where I choose to live/buy a condo. Both condos I live in and invested in are walking distance to the city's biggest malls, where I can do everything I need for business or pleasure."

The biggest takeaway for people who prefers condo living is security. Everyone who lives in the building pays a great deal for it which guarantees protection. Many condos offer gated or locked entries, doormen, or even security professionals for residents. If you live alone, or security is a concern for you, this can be a major perk. In addition, you’re living in close proximity with many other people; in an emergency, you’ll have plenty of people to turn to for help.

Another good thing is the amenities that come with buying a condo. Say you are planning to host a party, you can schedule the pool for you and your friends. Or just a random night with family can be extra fun in the community clubhouse. Many condo communities offer residents amenities that are out of reach for the average homeowner.

There is a lot to tell of its advantages but the most ideal is you can actually make money out of it. Mobile apps like Airbnb or Couchsurf can advertise your free space online and will make for tourists who wants to stay around the area for a short time.

If I have too much money now, I would invest in two or more while most of the units are still in pre-selling phase (mas mura).
