New faces in Davao's real estate industry

THERE is rise on new developments in Davao City both pushed by homegrown and national players.

We listed down new developments on residential and commercial subdivisions and condominiums that expected to rise from 2018 and beyond.

Ivory Residences Condominium and Obsidian Suites Hotel

Homegrown developer Santos Land Development Corporation (SLDC) embarks on its first vertical projects: the Ivory Residences Condominium and Obsidian Suites Hotel in J.P. Laurel St., Bajada, Davao City.

Launched last October 6, 2017, the projects will rise on a 4,700 sq. meters area. The Ivory Residences is an 18-storey tower with 330 units (of various sizes) and is capable of housing approximately 120 parking units spread out over three floors. The Obsidian Suites, on the other hand, is a 10-storey business hotel with a roof deck. It will feature some 90 rooms ranging from superior, deluxe, junior and executive, themed suites.

The projects are eyed to be finished by 2020.

Bridgeport

Homegrown real estate developer, Damosa Land, Inc. (DLI), is building a 12-hectare mixed-use development project in Caliclic, Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal.

The project, dubbed as Bridgeport, is a seaside leisure township project featuring medium-rise condominiums, a marina, premium lots, a hotel, and a commercial component.

Development works started this year.

Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel

Envisioned to be a five-star residential and hotel development, the Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel, is a luxury residential complex that will house 174 spacious full-service residence units and 120 hotel rooms.

Once operational (sometime in 2018 or 2019), it will be a project of many firsts: first Dusit-branded Residence in Southeast Asia, first internationally-branded mixed-use residence and hotel development, as well as the first luxury accommodation in Davao City.

Located at J.P. Laurel, Lanang, Davao City, the complex will showcase a 360-degree view of the city skyline and Davao Gulf.

The project is led by the Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TDLC).

Amani Grand

Grand Land, Inc., the real estate arm of the Cebu City-based Gaisano Grand Group of Companies, expanded to Davao City through their first residential project here - Amani Grand.

Amani Grand will rise in a 2.8-hectare area in City Gate, Grand Land's 8-hectare mixed-used development in Buhangin. The residential development will be comprised of four mid-rise residential towers with over a thousand units combined.

Mesatiera Garden Residences

Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) in partnership with the Yuson Commercial Investments is embarking on its first venture in Davao City, the Mesatiera Garden Residences in Emilio Jacinto Extension.

The residential building, with 694 units and 259 parking spaces, boasts of the convenient location it has near hospitals, banks, schools, malls, and other major establishments.

Mesatierra Garden Residences, targeted to be completed by 2020, also has garden-inspired amenities like landscaped areas, sky garden, spa pool, welcome pavilion, veranda, fitness gym, and jogging trails among others.

Aeon Bleu

After Aeon Luxe Properties Inc’s 33-storey Aeon Towers, which is eyed to be finished this year, the homegrown developer is developing another multibillion-peso project, the Aeon Bleu.

The project will be composed of five residential-tower resort at the uptown section just about 2 kilometers north of downtown Davao housing 1,600 units.

The project is eyed to be launched this year.

With more development projects coming in Davao City, there is no denying that the city landscape and lifestyle of then laidback city has changed, fast.
