Rosauro continues to struggle, drops another fight

YAW-YAN Ardigma Cebu’s Roel Rosauro continued to struggle on the international stage and dropped his second ONE Championship fight last Friday night in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Rosauro was outclassed by Indonesian Sunoto by unanimous decision in the opening bout of the “Unstoppable Dreams” show.

Rosauro wanted the fight up on their feet but Sunoto was wise to take it to the ground.

Sunoto had Rosauro’s number and repeatedly took him to the ground, piling up enough points for the clear verdict.

The 33-year-old Sunoto won his fourth straight match and improved to 9-3. Rosauro dropped to 4-3.

On the other hand, former ONE lightweight champion Eduard Folayang is back to his winning ways after a unanimous decision win over previously unbeaten Russian prospect Kharun Atlangeriev.

Folayang, the best homegrown Filipino fighter, is coming off a second round knockout loss to Martin Nguyen last November in a title defense of his lightweight crown.

Folayang is now 19-6, while Atlangeriev fell to 11-1. (EKA)
