Motornapper suspect falls in drug bust

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- A notorious motorcycle thief was arrested in an illegal drug operation launched by this city’s Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit at Purok 6, Barangay Juliana here recently.

This city’s chief of police Superintendent Roland Agohob said the suspect identified as Anthony Palo alias “Ton”, 32, was under police surveillance for his alleged involvement in series of motornapping incidents and drug-dealing activities.

Palo was allegedly preying on parked tricycles and motorcycles left unattended in public places in this city and nearby towns, said Agohob.

Agohob said that based from blotter reports, Palo was the suspect in the disappearance of several vehicles including a Honda motorcycle parked in Barangay Sta. Lucia on April 5, a Kawasaki Barako 175 parked in Barangay San Jose on April 11 and Yamaha Mio 125 parked in Barangay Dolores on May 6.

Palo was also categorized as a target-listed drug personality of the city police for allegedly peddling illegal drugs, particularly methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu.”

Pertinent documents are now being prepared for the filing of appropriate case against the suspect (violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II, RA 9165) through Inquest Proceeding at the City Prosecutor's Office here.
