Masantol school opens college department

MASANTOL -- Residents of this fourth district town, particularly youth, now have the choice to stay in their hometown while pursuing their tertiary education as one of the homegrown institutions here now offers college courses.

The positive development was bared by Mayor Danilo Guintu, saying the Pampanga Institute situated at the Metro Plaza area is now accepting enrollees for the first batch of college students for the school year 2018-2019.

He noted that the initial courses offered by the institution include Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

“We are happy to announce that the future continues to shine brighter for our Masantoleño youth as the first school to offer college courses is now open at the Pampanga Institute. Now, our children have wider opportunity in finishing their studies without going out of our municipality,” he said.

Guintu said that the opening of the college department of Pampanga Institute is considered “a ray of hope” for Masantoleño parents and children who want to finish their studies and earn their college degrees.

With a college institution right inside their hometown, Guintu said that Masantoleno families’ expenses in sending their children to school may be lessened as supposed travel and boarding expenses for schooling can be eliminated should they decide to enroll at the Pampanga Institute.

“Let us take advantage of this opportunity and send your children to college. Let us always keep in mind that there are bigger opportunities for our children if have their college degrees,” he noted.

Guintu said that students may also avail of college scholarships, which include tuition or monetary allowance, offered by the local government for poor yet deserving students of the municipality.

“Let us help each other provide a brighter future for your children and your families. I and the local government are always ready to provide assistance for your education,” he said.
