CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Laus Group of Companies (LGC), the country’s biggest auto conglomerate with over 60 business units under its umbrella, is set to build a new corporate center at the 9.7-hectare LausGroup Complex along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in this city.

The four-storey building will provide a total gross area of 3,176 square meter for various office spaces, as well as showrooms and recreational and lifestyle areas on the first and second level.

During the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new project, LausGoup of Companies Chairman and CEO Levy Laus announced that the facility dubbed as the LausGroup Corporate Centre 2.0, is poised to become a “functional building” for the LausGroup employees and customers from the region.

“This new building is meant to add another landmark to this LausGroup Complex that we’re developing not only as part of our corporate agenda, but also as our way of contributing to the countryside and trying to infuse more energy to the people of Pampanga and Central Luzon,” he said.

“We will see to it that this latest addition to our many developments in this area will be productive and will enhance the efficiency of our company as a whole,” he added.

LGC Executive Director Lissete Laus-Velasco, for her part, noted that the construction of the modern corporate center is aligned with the company’s thrust of expanding its business foothold and bringing in more job opportunities for Kapampangans.

“The LausGroup has always been committed to bring forth growth and progress here in the City of San Fernando and the whole of Central Luzon in general. With this new corporate center, we aim to further serve our people and of course, provide employment to our kabalens,” she relayed.

She disclosed that the facility will begin construction immediately and is set to be completed within eight months.

“So, by the end of the year or early next year, we will see the new center along with our soon-to-open Microtel Hotel. Both of the projects are meant to complement our dealership business, dining outlets, as well as the LausGroup Event Centre,” she said.

Another contribution to countryside development

Laus said that LGC has always been dedicated in promoting countryside development and infuse more confidence to the people and investors in Northern and Central Luzon.

“The continuous development of the Laus Group of Companies is not only purposely for business and profit alone, but part is what we consider our way of contributing to the community,” he said.

“I am very excited of this project for so many compelling reasons, and one of which is that I know that the LGC can once again contribute to the progress and prosperity of not only the corporate family, but also to the community,” shared Laus.

“We are also hopeful that with this project, we can help in uplifting the lives of the people, mainly in the countryside, and hoping that someday, we can reduce the poverty level in the Philippines,” he added.

Once the four-storey building will be finished, Laus said it would offer hundreds of additional job opportunities to the people, especially to the youth and professionals in Central Luzon.

He also noted that the establishment is anticipated to spur further economic activities in the area, thus benefitting the City of San Fernando and Pampanga as whole.

“We all know the symbiotic relationship between the LGC and the community and we are hopeful that we can continually fulfill our part as a corporate identity,” he said. (With Nicole Renee David)
