SUMMER Capital’s top archers let their arrows fly bagging six gold medals, four silver and three bronze medal to help Baguio City catch up with host Cebu City in the over–all standing of the Philippine National Games.

Led by 2017 Palarong Pambansa standout Charmaine Angel Villamor, Baguio is now just three gold medals away from Cebu with 17-24-18 as the host province is still grasping on to the over-all standings.

Villamor teamed up with Brette Leean Hongitan and Nariko Liannah Gonzales to snatch the gold in the team before joining hands with Cleanard Hidalgo for another gold in mixed team event while bringing home the silver qualification round.

The boys’ squad of Wilson Wong, Allen Drei Raquipo, James Seg-ed Jr., Angelo and Robert Calalo, and Hidalgo also won gold medals in the team event.

Loren Chloe Balaoing who earlier won a gold medal in the Olympic round snatched another mint in the qualification round.

“We could say our archery team was able to perform well but they still need training and discipline. One archer who stood out I think is James Seg-ed Jr. who just started playing archery a year ago who won against veteran archers,” said coach John Hongitan.
