Bisaya artists to perform live at Abreeza Mall

IT WILL be a Bisaya pop hits festival at Abreeza Mall Activity Center at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, as it brings together several local artists, who have been trending online.

Zhalia, Jacky Chang and Kurt Fick will be performing live their famous hits “Pag-sure Uy,” “Pero Atik Ra,” and “Hahahahasula,” respectively.

Adding more fun to the show will be “Medyo Maldito,” a local actor, who rose to fame via his Facebook page.

Zhalia is a girl group from Davao City. Composed of Jozelle Tacsanan, ShairaRica Opsimar, and Julia Mica Serad, it is a product of Davao City-based Muzik’sKool. With guidance from multi-awarded songwriter and producer Jeremy Sarmiento, it is no longer a surprise that Zhalia brought home five gold medals in the 2015 World Championships of Performing Arts in the United States.

Jacky Chang is a Cebu-based artist born to a Filipino mother and Korean father. Her viral song earned the hearts of many, especially that its lyrics reflect the feeling of someone who underwent the pain of being heartbroken.

Kurt Fick is a Cebuano, who is not only a gifted singer but a talented photographer as well.

Medyo Maldito, or Rowell “Roy” Ucat, hails from Bukidnon. He is known for his witty Bisaya memes, and now has at least 1.6 million Facebook followers.

Joining these artists are other local talents like Maric Gavino, Pao and Mitch, and John Cadelina with the Muzik’sKool band.
