THE Talisay Luigi Triathlon Group (TLTG) Tigers dominated TriMerida 2018 in Merida, Leyte last May 19-20, 2018.

The team, trained by coaches Rolando “Andoy” Remolino, Mary Joana Remolino, and Tatay Boyax Pagnanawon, came home with five first place finishes in different divisions of the race.

Leading the gold medalists was CJ Lipura, who topped the overall male sprint distance, where he was joined on the podium by teammates Psalm Daniel Aquino and Denver Danoyot.

Nicole Marie del Rosario topped the women’s 18-39 age division, while Moira Frances Erediano placed third in the overall female sprint distance.

The TLTG cubs were also victorious in the Super Tri Kids category as they came up with a 1-2-3 finish in the 10-13 age division. Earol Shoemaker Belonguil, Vince Kais, and Jacob Kennedy Lipura took the top honors in this division, while their counterparts in the girls division Jeanna Cañete and Fresh Lorraine Seguerra were the first and third placers, respectively.

In the 6-9 age division, Van Winsy Pagnanawon finished on top, while teammate Rhexiel Shoemaker Belonguil came in second place.

“TLTG was formed to develop young athletes and become the best version of themselves in spite of their lack of resources. From their humble beginnings, they are now winning competitions nationwide and true to their tiger spirit, these kids roared with all their might in the TriMerida 2018,” said coach Joana. (PR)
