WHILE the other kids were at kiddie workshops at the Lexmark Research and Development Corporation’s employees’ day, seven-year-old Myrrh Largosa has other things in mind. She has bigger fish to fry.
Largosa and all of her diminutive frame proved to all the adults that she is a force to be reckoned with as she finished second in the Lexmark Dash 9, the running event where she beat much older participants in the loaded 3K event.
Largosa, a tri-kid, finished second to Jennifer Savellon, who crossed the finish line a minute before Largosa. Savellon came in at 15:57 minutes, while Largosa clocked in at 16:44. Charmie Sua came in third with a time of 18:27.
In the female employees division, Beatriz Nicole Rebacca took the title after finishing in 19:24, where she was closely followed by Kristine Baguiro in 19:54. Jalilah Ludag came in third.
In the men’s division, Jan Sahilan defended the title after finishing in 13:31.Junrey Pardo (14:24) and Dean Belarmino (15:24) finished in the second and third places, respectively.
Winning the men’s family member division was Juvan Bensig, who lorded it over in the 3K with a time of 10:42. Marvy Revilla came at a distant second with a time of 19:03, while Virgel Lisondra finished at third in 24:10.
The top three finishers in the 9K Female Employees division were Michelle Beck (53:09), Mary Jean Serenio (53:31) and Cathleen Mascariñas (54:58).
Winning the 9K Men’s Employee run were Jomil Rollon (38:40), Peri Pevida (42:03) and Boying Milan (45:23). (MCB)
