AFTER bringing Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz for a seminar in Cebu two years ago, Epic Performance and Fitness will bring PBA star Kiefer Ravena and his strength and conditioning coach Mark Caron for a Basketball Skills and Performance Workshop in Cebu City.

“We at Epic really want to bring the best. We are excited to bring Kiefer and Mark to Cebu,” said Epic Performance and Fitness owner Pio Solon.

The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 16 in City Sports Club Cebu.It will be open to basketball players of all ages. The registration fee of P1,800 will cover lunch, snacks and a raffle draw for an Epic Gym membership and other freebies.

The reason for this workshop is to impart what Ravena knows about basketball and Caron’s insights and advice for strength and conditioning.

“Kiefer and Mark are one of the best tandems. We want the kids to experience firsthand what their strength and conditioning program is like,” said Solon.

Ravena was a standout in his playing years in Ateneo de Manila and is now one of stars of the PBA. He averages 17.2 points per game, 4.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists in the current conference.

Caron has a Masters in Human Movement Science from the College of Human Kinetics at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He’s the program director of Phenom Elite and is the strength and conditioning coach of both Ravena and Alyssa Valdez. (EKA)
