SENIOR Supt. Jonathan Cabal, chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7, was one proud father after his 22-year-old daughter ranked second in the elementary level of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

Mary Angeline Lagasca Cabal of the University of the Philippines-Diliman garnered an 88.60 percent rating.

“Her hard work paid off. She was really elated,” Cabal said.

The police official was in Camp Crame undergoing training.

Despite his duties, Cabal promised that he would spend time to bond with his children to celebrate Mary’s success.

“She would be taking medicine and maybe it’s strategic thinking for her part. I believe that she’s open to become a teacher because her mother is also one. It’s a boost of confidence for her to continue her studies in the field of medicine,” Cabal said.

Mary has a twin sister who is also equally proud of her achievement, Cabal said.

“It was her twin sister who told me the news,” he said.

The logistics chief said that his twin daughters have been always been achievers since they were children.

“There’s a streak of excellence in them ever since childhood. The other one was a salutatorian while the other was a valedictorian,” he said.

Mary studied Bachelor of Science in Family Life and Child Development in UP Diliman.

In Cebu, three landed in top 10 of the LET which was conducted last March.

Hannah Lei Pepito, ranked 4th, Jade Soronio Tagab, ranked 3rd in the elementary while Roel Yu placed 10th in the secondary. (JOB)
