TWO weeks after the barangay polls, a village chief in San Miguel, Bulacan, was gunned down, police said.
The suspects were reportedly riding a motorcycle when they attacked a barangay chairman in Malolos City last Friday, May 25.
Police identified the fatality as Genaro Lopez, 51, barangay chairman of Labne, San Miguel in Bulacan.
The victim was smoking in front of Dignas Restaurant in Barangay Mojon, Malolos City when his assailants arrived.
The victim suffered gunshot wounds and died while undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.
The Malolos City police still investigating the shooting incident. (Ric Sapnu)
