GUAGUA -- Funnside Ningnangan, Pampanga’s leading homegrown family restaurant and grill house, is set to open its 9th branch here, as it gears up for sustained growth and aggressive store expansion plan.

The new branch, with a total lot area of 3,000 square meters, can accommodate up to 800 diners. It is among the restaurant chain’s biggest branch, next to San Fernando, Guiguinto, Caloocan, Pulilan, Apalit, Angeles, San Matias, and Mexico.

During its groundbreaking held Monday, Funnside Ningnangan co-owner Jhong Naguit shared that the new venture will be managed by the restaurant’s first ever franchisee, renowned Filipino and Kapampangan PBA player Jayson Castro.

“This is a dream come true for all of us, as we have always aspired to further boost the business through reputable franchisees who also aim to offer no less than the quality of food and service that has been Funnside Ningnangan’s trademark for over a decade,” he said.

The Guagua-bred franchisee relayed that he is excited for the opening of the new branch as he is committed to contribute to his hometown, through offering high-quality and superb-tasting dining options at affordable prices.

“I am really happy and very excited with this new business breakthrough. This is my first venture into the food industry and I am positive that it will thrive, as Funnside Ningnangan’s family-style concept is widely enjoyed by a lot of diners from the countryside,” he noted.

“It’s also interesting to note that my family and I are regular diners here, so we know that the dining outlet, wherever branch it is located, are consistent with its meal offerings. Its well-established reputation, I believe, will help us in our pursuit to make this new establishment bigger and better,” he added.

Founded in 2009, Funnside Ningnangan, through the years, steadily grew in Pampanga and Bulacan, primarily because of its wide array of specialties including charcoal-grilled meat, seafood favorites, and dishes like bulalo, sinigang, chopsuey, and chicharon bulaklak. The restaurant’s well-curated Kapampangan menu complements its native, open-air ambience.

Castro announced that the new Funnside Ningnangan Guagua branch is expected to open by the end of July.
