FOUR people were arrested in separate drug busts by government authorities in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police said Tuesday, June 5.
Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Maimona Edith Berual, 31; Carmelito Remegio, 58; Antonio Undadis, Jr., 24; and, Mark Anthony Balais, 30.
Galvez said Berual was arrested in a drug bust at 7:15 a.m. Monday at the market site in Poblacion village, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.
Confiscated from the suspect were five sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), P1,000 cash including P500 marked money.
Galvez said Remegio and Undadis were arrested in a drug bust at 11:15 p.m. on same day in Camino Nuevo village, Zamboanga City
They yielded three sachets of suspected shabu and P400 marked money.
Balais was arrested in another drug bust at 11:10 p.m. Monday also in Camino Nuevo village.
Galvez said the arresting team confiscated from the suspect’s possession two sachets of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.
The police officer said the arrested suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Philippines)
