DAVAO City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio said she was serious about accompanying her father during his overseas official trips, using her own money.
By doing so, she said quarrels between supporters and non-supporters of her father will be stopped.
"I usually do not mind but sometimes people would like to dwell on menial things. So to avoid divisive issues in our country, it is very best to avoid future incidents like that, and as I see it, that if I can do something to help for people not quarrel over the issue such as that actions of our president, that would be better," she said.
Duterte-Carpio told reporters last Friday, June 8, that she was willing to pay for the travel expenses just to avoid seeing her father "kiss" someone in public.
