VICE PRESIDENT Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo is arriving in the province today, June 14, for the unveiling of “Istorya Ng Pag-asa (Stories of Hope)” photo gallery.
The vice president will be the guest of honor of the opening of “Istorya Ng Pag-asa” Negros Occidental Photo Gallery at the Vianney Hall in Bishop’s House, Bacolod City, 1 p.m.
Former Negros Occidental Governor Rafael Coscolluela said as far he knew, that is the only activity that Robredo will be attending in the city today.
"This will be the formal unveiling and recognition of 20 honorees of ‘Istorya Ng Pag-asa’ in Negros. She will be arriving late morning and I do not know if she has a lunch meeting,” Coscolluela said.
Robredo said they come up with “Istorya” so that “there will still be hope in our hearts.”
“Everyday people would just read about issues and quarreling. So we came out with the launching of ‘Istorya Ng Pag-Asa’ so that we would read not only the word war and criticisms but inspiring stories of people who have gone through a lot of tests in life. Like there is a story of someone who was abandoned at the age of three but has become successful. Inspiring stories of ordinary Filipinos who went through a lot of difficulties in life,” Robredo said during her last visit in Bacolod City on May 9. (TDE)
