THE Hoops4Life, a sports organizing group, will hold an open basketball league dubbed as "Hoops For All" slated to open July 14.
Hoops4Life, convened by Ateneo de Davao University Blue Knights head coach Jess Evangelio together with Phenomenal Lifestyle fitness gym owner Allen Jason Pobre and Davao Inter-BPO League commissioner Mark de Guzman, aims to elevate the level of competition here.
Pobre, who was among the guests in Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum held at The Annex of SM City Davao, urged teams to join the league with a P25,000 registration fee to cover all operational expenses including officiating, venue, social media marketing promotions, videographer and photographer.
Cash prizes await winners of the tournament.
The league is sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
