MATI CITY – In celebration of its 11th cityhood anniversary, the City Government of Mati crowned on Saturday night, June 16, this year’s Mutya ng Mati at the Mati Socio-Cultural Center.

Christine Legaspino, owned the crown and a P60,000 cash prize after she bested 14 other candidates.

Legaspino, a student of Davao Oriental State University (formerly known as Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology), earned the nod of the judges and the crowd’s applause when she pointed out in the question and answer portion that “the greatest enemy of Mother Nature are the people.”
