THE Third Edition Pawn Storm Negros Chess Kiddies Championship is set to kick off on June 23 at City Mall Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
Its theme "The search continues" aims to discover and nurture the young chess talents in Negros. Thus, it can serve as a ladder for even bigger chess success that they can accomplish in the future.
The champion of this tournament will get P3,000 cash, trophy, medal and Negros Chess Journal.
Special Awards will be given to the Top 10-Year-Old Player, Top 8-Year-Old Player and Top Female Player.
Another up for grabs is the chance to be featured in the Second Edition of Negros Chess Journal - a privilege that will be bestowed to all the winners.
To the early pawns, Karting Toon, a cart ride for kids located in the parking lot of New Government Center will give away free tickets. This applies to the first 100 participants who officially register in the tournament.
