Viray: Rimando an asset in the LGU

ING San Fernando yang mumuna, Ing Fernandino yang manimuna.

True to this motto, The City of San Fernando has the most outstanding City Mayor in Edwin D. Santiago.

Following this exemplary fact, the PESO has been awarded three consecutive times led by Donnie Sayre and is therefore a Hall of Famer. It has been cited as having the highest placement rate in the entire Philippines for the year 2016. It continues to be so in the present year.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CDRRM) led by Raymond eel Rosario of the City is a recipient of the Kalasag Award for the City of San Fernando. This means that our CDRRMM is the best in the Central Luzon and a leading candidate for the national award.

The City Health Office (CHO) led by Dra. Eloisa Aquino has been hailed as having the best birthing station of the country, among others.

The City Tourism Office led by Ching Pangilinan is on forefront of researching the lives of heroes of the City. The historical heritage landmarks in houses and churches of San Fernando are legacies to our checkered past. The successful stagings of the Lantern Festival, fiesta activities and the selection of outstanding citizens of the City have been staged with enthusiasm. Thanks to the City Tourism incessant efforts.

Now come to the latest, the Local Civil Registrar led by Rimando E. Umali was awarded by the Philippine Statistics Authority as second placer (Outstanding Local Civil Registrar Office, Super Extra Large Category) in the entire country.

Rimando is a mild mannered executive who is home bred.

He graduated at San Jose Panlumacan Elementary School in 1974. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of the Assumption (UA) in 1983.He has completed his masters in business and public administrations from University of the Assumption and Bulacan State University (BSU).

Prior to joining the LGU, Rimando was an Executive of the Pepsi Cola Products Phil, Inc.

He was married to the former Lorna G. Santiago (deceased). They have four children, three girls and one boy, all of which are college graduates. He is on a “second heaven” having been recently remarried. All sugar and honey for this man whose career and personal life are in blossom.

Synergy is defined as an increased effectiveness when two or more people work together.

There is Synergy in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The accomplishments in its totality is more than that of individual achievements.

With people like Donnie, Raymond, Ching and the latest, Rimando, the LGU of San Fernando under the able leadership of the Mayor is soaring.
