City pampers male government employees

SOME 1,100 male employees were “pampered” Tuesday, June 19, by the City of San Fernando government through its Gender and Development (GAD) office as part of the celebration of June Pride Month and post-Father’s Day tribute.

GAD focal person Amalia Catacutan said that the “pampering” aims to recognize the hard work and perseverance of the male employees who dedicate their efforts for the city’s progress, working alongside women and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender sector for gender equality.

The participants were treated to free massage, manicure, pedicure, hair cut, hair dye and foot spa courtesy of the Hairdressers’ Association of Pampanga, Siwala, and Fernandino Women’s Federation, together with the City Human Resource and Development Office.

Present during the pampering activity were Mayor Edwin Santiago, Vice- Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, City Councilor BJ Lagman, City Legal Officer Atlee Viray, and OIC City Administrator Michael Quizon, Jr.
