3 arrested for killing 75-year-old trike driver

THREE personalities suspected of being behind the killing of a 75-year-old tricycle driver in Barangay Sta. Trinidad, Angeles City were arrested by elements of the Angeles City Police Station 2 recently.

Police Regional Office III Director Senior Superintendent Amador V. Corpus identified the arrested suspects as Rowena Dizon, 40; Jamal Macarambon, 20 and Romar Pimentel, 18, who were allegedly responsible for the killing of the victim identified as Felicisimo Sonza through stabbing.

Corpus disclosed that Macarambon and Pimentel hired the services of Sonza and upon reaching Barangay Sta. Trinidad, the two male suspects stabbed the driver and took all the latter’s belonging, including the Honda TMX 125 Alpha as their getaway vehicle.

The incident was caught in the CCTV footage installed near the crime scene and positively identified the two male suspects, who were caught in a follow-up operation conducted police.

Meanwhile, the two male suspects pointed at Dizon as the alleged mastermind of the crime after the latter allegedly told them to rob and kill Sonza who at that time, was reported to be bringing huge amount of money.

The suspects are now in custody of the Angeles police and will be facing cases of robbery with homicide.
