Ceres FC hosts JPV tonight at Panaad

ALL set for tonight's face-off between Ceres-Negros FC and visiting Japan Phils Voltes (JPV) Marikina in the ongoing Philippines Football League at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City at 7 p.m.

The league-leading Busmen is well-favored not only because they have scored a win and a draw against JPV but they are playing at home before their solid fans.

The Busmen dominated JPV during their initial outing, 4-1, in April and a 1-all draw in June where Patrick Reichelt scored a header in the 70th minute off a pass from Joshua Dutosme, saving Ceres FC at the Bisan Football Stadium in Laguna.

Despite the rough and physical game, JPV keeper Felipe Tripulca played one of his best games when he was able to stop most of Ceres goal tries including one of Reichelt's attempts as well as Stephan Schrock's shot.

But the physical game went to Busmen's disadvantage when midfielder Manny Ott was taken out of the stadium in a stretcher after he was hardly hit by an elbow on a throw-in play. Ott underwent surgery to restore the broken bones on her face.

Tonight's game will only be one of the two matches at Panaad Stadium between these clubs. (HGD)
