THERE’S a circle of friends I have that fancies really unorthodox movies, that means out-of-the-box and creative... and totally not mainstream. But as we go on with having this rare film diet, it somehow gets plain and boring.
I think it’s always happier to diversify your choices once in a while. To quote my often serious professor who shocked us one night in journalism class after she told everyone she likes KathNiel (I have to note, if we go wayback, admitting to like this loveteam would not make a good impression. All eyes would go *judging you*). After all, reality already served us too much harsh thoughts. It wouldn’t hurt to get a treat when you can have one.
So, here you go.. a handful of list you can carry to your girls’ night out.
The Kissing Booth
It's that movie everyone's talking about. It follows a high school girl Elle Evans who literally grew up side-by-side with her guy bestfriend Lee Flynn. The two had each other's back since Day 1 and made a pact to follow rules so they could keep their relationship intact. And unsurprisingly, one of those is to not hit on anyone whom their bestfriend is related to.
And yeah, you guessed it right, Lee has a totally hot older brother. You can take it from there.

Not the Mean Girls type of flick but there is a Queen Bee by the name of famous American Mexican Alexa Medina. This one is just reality at real time. It's a sneak peak of how high school drama is like in the age of millennials, yes talk about social media influencers and their perks. But still it has that complete school setting with a jock and nerd falling in love with each other. It's fun to watch especially if you have some time to kill.
Gossip Girl
Well, this one's not a movie but it's Gossip Girl! And years after she umm yeah correction that's actually a "he" who told us who he was, it's really fun to re-watch the series once again. I'm doing it now and it kind of feels cool how crazy we went with flip phones back then. And also, who doesn't just want to revisit Blair Waldorf's antics for no reason, right?
Mean Girls
There you have it. The movie that defined chick-flick (yes we remember Cher Horowitz from Clueless but that's for next time!).
There's a small percentage of people who haven't watched it, I guess, but for those who haven't, here's a short wrap-up from IMDB: Cady Heron is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George.
