THERE’S no better time than summer to engage in activities one is eager to try. With the numerous workshops that dabbled in different activities and fields, Cebu wasn’t short of options, and that included modeling workshops.
After learning modeling and its different aspects, students of ADMIRE School for Models (Batch Summer 2018) had their culminating activity last June 3 at City Time Square 2, Mandaue City, Cebu.
It was a fashion soiree called Floral Tropical, taking inspiration from the international Spring/Summer shows in Paris and Milan. Twenty-three of the students from the summer batch were seen on the runway wearing ready-to-wear ensembles from brands Chains and Posh Pink and their choice of floral-themed formal wear. Models from AD Models Femme were also seen on the runway wearing creations by fashion designer and head mentor Dexter Alazas.
After all the talks and workshops—a photo shoot by Rex Colina with students wearing collections from ATE by Tatah, wardrobe styling to portfolio making under the guidance of various mentors including AD Models Philippines and Stylefirm, to name a few—it was a memorable night as the students strutted and showed tips and tricks they’d picked up since they enrolled.
“I can’t help but admire each and everyone of them for putting their best foot forward and walking the runway in three segments,” said Dexter. “The students are now with AD Models Management and will be booked for upcoming castings and projects that suit their individual fortes.”
Though summer has passed, the workshop is still ongoing as the model school is now accepting enrollees for the month of June.
