P2.5M worth of shabu confiscated in separate operations

THIRTEEN drug personalities were caught in separate operations in Talisay City, Mandaue City, Consolacion and Liloan last Wednesday, yielding 2.5 million worth of illegal drugs.

The biggest haul happened in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City after the arrest of Bernardito Comendador Pepito, who yielded 200 grams of “shabu” worth P2.3 million.

In the same barangay, police later caught Alma Mondejar, Mark Kevin Arisgado and Renante Talaugon. Seized from them were 5.2 grams of “shabu” worth P26,000.

Mandaue City Police Office Director Roberto Alanas said they are determining the sources of the suspects.

Five persons were caught in a series of drug busts in Barangays Nangka, Panoypoy and Pulpogan in Consolacion, yielding 7.03 grams of shabu worth P82,884.

Consolacion Police Chief Gerard Ace Pelare identified the suspects as Jeffrey Antolijao, Ryan Navarro, Vernie Bughao, Richard Villamor and Kevin Bacuba.

In Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, Cebu Provincial Police Office operatives seized 13 grams of shabu worth P153,400 after they caught Mariabel Cabigon and Edselito Gentica Gaviola.

Cabigon is pregnant.

Gaviola was wounded after he resisted arrest.

Two personalities were arrested by operatives in Barangay Yati, Liloan, who seized P94,400 worth of shabu that weighed eight grams.

Liloan Police Chief Randy Korret identified the suspects as Mark Anthony Sabio Pepito and Samuel Jacob Solon. (KAL)
