Bautista: Guam in 60 seconds

HAFA adai (half a day), this the greeting Juan gets when reaching Guam. I also thought to confirm, that was all it took to visit Guam. Half a day was all it takes to see all of it.

I have always been invited to go to Guam, it was because of commitments and work that I have had to cancel a trip there. Finally some time ago I did agree to go. Unfortunately the travel agent ran away with my ticket, really.

I will find myself traveling to Guam for Mom's 76th birthday and their 50th wedding anniversary. Finally I reach there, all before a stopover in Palau. Finally.

I am surprised to really find everything close by. It just takes 60 seconds to do so. From my Ocean View apartment I will be in the lobby and restaurants in that time. It also takes me the same time to get to the bus stop. Crossing the street and while waiting to cross is also the same. Getting to the beach from a shop or McDonalds still the same.

Sixty seconds was what it took to go online and purchase our bus pass. Sixty seconds it takes from one bus stop to another, the bus will pass through all the hotels to unload and pick up tourists every time. Bus pace as slow.

Sixty seconds it takes for me and my kids to finish an order of shaved ice, all before it melts it is gone. It will also take the same for us to finish a regular burger from the best burger joint in Guam. So big it is that we share it amongst ourselves. Guam salad is Tuna Poké or Shriracha Salmon and it is ordered and served in 60 seconds.

To the shopping center, 60 seconds from our place. Sixty seconds is all it will take for me to get that pair of shoe from the rack in ROSS. If you find one get it, you might not be as fortunate if you decide to come back for it. If the shoe fits, just take it.

The line before paying is the longest but once you get to the cashier, 60 seconds is all it takes to get all your money, cash or card. It is also the same when shopping along the luxury stores like, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Dior or Tiffany & Co. Sixty seconds at most is all it will take for me to go through these stores.

Reaching from one tourist spot to another may only take 60 seconds to reach. 60 seconds from one beach to another. However it will also only be a maximum of 60 seconds under the hot searing sun before finding shade.

The best pictures for sunset is every 60 seconds until the sun disappears. Trust me, take pictures every 60 seconds as the colors change every time. 60 seconds to send it by Instagram.

Back to the airport in 60 seconds and 60 seconds to leave the car rental by Hertz. Sixty seconds it did take for me to find Joy in the United Airlines counter. Sixty seconds it took for us to get our boarding passes and another 60 seconds for our luggage tags. Sixty seconds it took me to go thru Immigration and 60 second I had to take to put back my shoes and belt since I couldn't bend so much from all the food and big belly.

I'm gone in 60 seconds... GUAM IN 60 SECONDS.
