SENIOR Superintendent Francisco Ebreo was promoted to acting director of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) effective June 21.

Ebreo confirmed this in a press conference Friday, June 22, at the BCPO headquarters.

Ebreo said the order came from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame. The Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-Central Visayas) implemented the order on Thursday, June 21.

Ebreo said he served as OIC of the BCPO for almost seven months.

As an acting city director, Ebreo said there will be immediate action on complaints against his personnel before reaching the regional headquarters for their separate judgment.

Meanwhile, Ebreo said they continue to validate reports tagging some policemen in illegal activities. He cannot yet answer if there will be another batch of policemen from BCPO that will be relieved for the same allegation.

Two weeks ago, 19 non-commissioned officers and a commissioned officer were relieved from BCPO after they were allegedly involved in illegal activities. A non-uniform personnel was also included in the relief order.
